I don't have all of the buttons and information in,
but it gives you a good idea.
I have two rescue dogs, Loki and Diesel. When I brought them home, I felt completely underprepared — and I couldn't find one place that had everything I needed. That's why I built Kennel to Couch.
The problem
Families adopt dogs without knowing what to expect — what to feed them, where to find a trusted vet, or what the long-term commitment looks like. That stress leads to returns. The problem isn't awareness. It's the lack of support.
The solution
A mobile app that brings everything together — adoptable dogs from local rescues, directories of vets and trainers, and at-home care resources. Each dog has a full profile so families can find the right match with confidence.
Visual identity
Yellow — warmth & optimism
Red — love & connection
Blue — trust & calm
Primary colors — because just like they're the foundation of all color, I wanted this app to feel like a foundation for dog owners.
Reflection
This project taught me that designing from lived experience makes the work matter more. When I shifted my question from "how do I promote adoption?" to "how do I improve outcomes?" — everything clicked. When families feel supported, dogs stay home.
